As a member of our Global Equities Sales and Trading Technology Team, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. The individual selected for this role will work as part of our team to modernize the current Delta 1 Order Management System.
This application is used to trade ETF, index, and custom basket products. When client orders are received for these supported product types, traders are able to trade them in the the market using various strategies in order to service the client's order most efficiently. As fills come back from the market, they are then processed and delivered back to the client.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a continuously evolving landscape, working with new technologies, and learning and expanding their skillset. You must have the drive and enthusiasm to deliver performant and scalable solutions in a high volume, high throughput environment. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner with stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience. * Excellent understanding of Core Java concepts, including object-oriented design, memory management, multi-threading, and new language features up to Java 8. * Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, resiliency, & application security. * Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm to work on a globally distributed team. * Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems * Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages * Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices * Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals * Passionate about building an innovative culture
