The team is looking for an employee that will act as Senior Equities/Futures Technologist with a strong background on Equities and Listed Derivatives products (B3 exchange), with a strong technical background.
As an employee, you will be responsible for working closely with our multiple internal clients (broker dealer, proprietary desks as well as back office teams), Technology Partners on both local and foreign locations, and external vendors in order to identify, assess, help document requirements, work with appropriate parties to understand business priorities, and advise business on options, risks, and costs associated.
The employee will analyze impact of proposed solutions, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to the teams, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews. In addition he/she will assist to ensure that requirements documentation can be easily translated into function requirements and / Or Specification requirement system, ensure that the proper testing plans have been completed.
The employee will facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation.
Good balance between technical expertise and business. Deal with a mix of local and global platforms.
Functions: * Development and support for the JPM applications as well as vendor systems. * Understand trade life cycle. Identifies, assesses and articulates near-term business needs, advises businesses on options, working directly with trading desks/ Middle and back office; * Effectively translates business requirements into value-added, comprehensive solutions and test plans using appropriate processes, procedures and technology; * Able to explain complex technical issues to the business, and complex business problems to the technology team; * Knowledge of Equities/ Futures products; * Demonstrates knowledge of project management and architecture methods and tools. Knowledge of software engineering lifecycle and processes; * Consistently monitors project schedule, key milestones and critical dates to proactively identify, escalate and mitigate potential jeopardy of project schedule, risks and dependencies; * Partners with the business to create a comprehensive test plan and strategy; * Proactively identifies risks and issues and escalates appropriately.
Qualifications: * Experience or understanding of systems and applications, as well as systems design and business knowledge; * Systems Engineering / Integration; * Systems/Unit Testing; * Programming Languages; * Hardware /Software Package Knowledge; * Foundation Architecture Knowledge; * Logical Data Modeling; * Performance Engineering; * Line of Business Specific Skills; * Communication, negotiation, project and resource management skills. * Strong technical background on multiple Technologies (Oracle, Java, .NET). * Education: Financial Market knowledge with degree in Technology, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field. * Experience: 4+ years of work experience in job offered or 4+ years of work experience in an investment banking or corporate finance - related occupation. * Experience on Markets Products as Equities, Futures and Options. * Strong written/verbal communication skills (English is mandatory)
