Hays Tech in Brighton is partnering with The Pensions Regulator, the regulator of work-based pensions schemes in the UK, to hire them an experienced Platform Manager.

They offer some of the best benefits available in Brighton, a work/life balance that's tricky to match, and training and certifications in the latest technology and systems.

This newly created role will hire and lead the team responsible for the design, build and support of enterprise platform solutions across the organisation.

You'll own:

  • platform provisioning
  • build deployment
  • software configuration
  • CI/CD
  • release engineering

We're keen to speak with DevOps leaders who have operated in large and complex environments. You'll be a technologist with experience of designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, with extensive knowledge of the Azure DevOps toolset.

In return, you'll get a healthy salary (£75,000), an annual bonus scheme, a civil service pension scheme (widely considered to be one of the top schemes available), 25 days leave (plus bank holidays) and a whole raft of flexible benefits.

Work/life balance is really important here too, so if you ever work over your 35 hours, you'll be actively encouraged to take them back. It's not unusual for team members to take a shorter lunch on the run-up to a bank holiday; if you accumulate enough throughout the month, you can take off up to 2 days.

The whole tech team are working remotely at the moment and will be for the foreseeable. Whenever things start to approach normality, you'll be expected in the Brighton office for one or two days per week, but IT will be the last to head back into the Trafalgar Place office. Before COVID, the team were usually at home for at least 2 days a week. It's a very relaxed working environment.

Interested? The next stage will be an informal conversation where you'll be able to find out if the role is for you. This is an urgent requirement so expect to hear from us shortly after your application.
