This role is as a senior software engineer and lead within the Asset Management Client Technology team with a focus on Client and Investment Servicing Technology. As an experienced member of our Software Engineering Group, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner with stakeholders to stay focused on common goals. As a senior member of the team, the candidate will contribute to hands-on development of high quality and innovative technology solutions as well as serve as a local lead for the team, responsible for management and development of junior staff.
Work with business stakeholders to drive execution of the technology roadmap.
Designs, analyzes, develops, codes, and debugs programming to satisfy business requirements.
Work as part of a Scrum team to deliver technology solutions in an Agile fashion including but not limited to sprint planning, complexity analysis, standup calls, and sprint retrospectives.
Collaborate with other Scrum Teams locally and in other regions to share development solutions, experiences, challenges, and best practices.
Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies.
Participates in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations.
Manage and mentor junior staff and serve as a site lead for the larger team
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
Strong Java, Spring-boot, REST API experience
Experience with database development and design including experience with Oracle
Experience in Agile and Scrum based development methodologies
Understanding of modern development practices and continuous integration
Passionate about building an innovative culture
